The only place where these belong is in your gun! Please DON'T store the bolt or magazine of your rifle in a different spot, you will forget where that spot is eventually! At least 3 times a week i get phone calls for complete bolt assemblies that got lost and 5-6 a week of lost magazines! Want to keep your gun safe? Buy a trigger or cable lock, they are way cheaper! For example, a Browning X-bolt assembly is $300 in parts + shipping + labour to get it fitted to your gun + taxes over everything yet! Trigger lock is $25 at the most. Happy hunting! ... Testing the waters here. I got a call from my distributer about a line of military grade cleaning and lubrication products from Breakthrough. The operating temperature for the grease alone is -75° to +510°F, for the Battle born HP Pro oil is from -65°F to 507°F. Just wondering if there is any intrest in it. Today was a muzzle brake day. A Sako 85, Remington 700 and a Savage 111 got their barrels threaded and a brake fitted. We always center the bore of the barrel, never the outside since the bore is rarely in the center of the barrel. #SmitherGunworks ... See MoreSee Less
After 3 attempts of annealing and 3 shattered drill bits we got a hole! This old Winchester model 70 was as hard as a diamond! I didn't say it was gonna be easily drilling and tapping! 😂 #SmithersGunworks ... See MoreSee Less
Customer was told by 2 other gunsmiths it was impossible to mount a scope on a Winchester model 54. We drilled and tapped the receiver, lapped the scope rings and installed a 3-9×50 Bushnell scope, milled and bend the bolt handle to clear the eyepiece, laser boresighted and test fired it. We like to prove the competition wrong. #SmithersGunworks ... See MoreSee Less

This Winchester 1894 with octagon barrel from 1900 is in some desperate need of care after being submerged for 24 hours during a flood. This is why I always recommend to store your firearms in your bedroom upstairs! (In a proper safe of course ) The Cooey 39 at the top had the same soaking. #SmithersGunworks ... See MoreSee Less
